D.A. Patterson Store

Prior to 1922 Tom Marshall built a blacksmith shop.

Also on the property to the west of the Blacksmith shop a home was built.

Tom Marshall sold the Blacksmith shop to Norman Marshall in approximately 1922.

Norman Marshall had gas tanks installed in 1928.

Norman Marshall later sold the property to Ewart Cranston and Alf Cranston.

Close to 1929 Ewart and Alf operated it as a Blacksmith shop.

The Cranston's sold to A.M. Brandow roughly around 1932.

On the same property as the Blacksmith shop Mr. Allan Brandow built a store in 1937.

Mr. Brandow sold the store to D.A. Patterson in 1941.

The Blacksmith Shop was demolished sometime in the 1950's.

In 1970 D.A. Patterson's son, Douglas, took over the operation of the store. Douglas ran the D.A. Patterson Store until 1996.

Douglas Patterson sold the store to Larry Killen's. Mr. Killen's used the store as a storage building for a wholesale delivery business.

In 1998 Larry Killen's sold the business to Mrs. S. Saul.

Today in 2006 Mrs. S. Saul still runs an antique business out of the building.
