Lot 20 Mutchmor Street it seems has always been a very enterprising lot.

N.B. McColeman operated a store, which mainly sold flour and feed. The N.B. McColeman Store was taken over by Mr. McNicol when his store across the street burnt down. Mr. McNicol passed away in the late 1920's. At the time of Mr. McNicol's passing away Bill Love was asked by the McNicol family to form a company and run the store known as McNicol & Love.

In 1931 J.F. McDermid and J.A. Ward purchased the building known as the McNicol & Love Store. They operated for several years and in 1937 J.F. McDermid bought out J.A. Ward.

 At present day in 2005 J.F. McDermid & Sons Co. Limited is run by Murray McDermid - J.F. McDermid's son - and Murray McDermid's son Clifford James Travis -Jamie- McDermid.
